Belmont Youth Lacrosse is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to bringing sport of lacrosse to boys and girls, grades 1 - 8, in Belmont. We support U9, U11, U13, and U15 teams playing in Massachusetts, as well as providing fall instructional clinics and resources for additional playing and training opportunities. Boys play in theMBYLL, girls play in the MBGLL.
Belmont Youth Lacrosse is always seeking parent volunteers for coaching and administrative support. If you are interested in helping out please contact a board member from our 'Board Members' link, or e-mail
There are many boys in Belmont Youth Lacrosse that are looking for a known program that offers a more competitive environment than what BYL and MBYLL can offer. BHS Varsity Coach Streit and BHS JV Coach Ferraro currently coach in the Royal program and see benefits for our kids who may want to tryout for this program or others like it.
Parents and coaches sometimes get frustrated with the lack of intense competition that we can offer. The select programs are more intense but also cost 4 to 5 times more money. We think we should make our members aware of their options.
We will post information on select team in our area that would also be a good fit for our kids as we receive them. Coaching is important but by no means the only criteria for determining the best fit for each player. Cost, travel, location, times & dates of practices and tournaments are an important part of the final decision.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of your BYL coaches.
There is no better way to prepare than with our talented group of coaches who are truly passionate about teaching players the game of lacrosse!
